Confidentiality & Privacy

All information obtained for the study is confidential. This means that:

 

  • all identifying information (such as your and your child's names) will be kept separate from any answers you provide;
  • only the principal investigators and research staff at Western will have access to your name or other identifying information;
  • all forms are stored in a locked filing cabinet for security;
  • information from this study will only be used for research purposes;
  • when the study results are presented, published or discussed, your and your child's names will never be used;
  • your responses will not be shared with staff at the children's mental health agency from which you were recruited;
  • the clinician you identify as your child's primary clinician will be aware of your participation (should you provide consent for them to complete the clinician questionnaire) but they will not have access to your responses.
